Educational Background:

Interests:
My interests are varied. Because of my profession, anything dealing with deafness or sign language is at the top of the list. I will add traveling, studying cultures, deep discussions on any topic and reading. I enjoy a good crime solving tv show and old musicals. I enjoy my pets. I have three dogs, a yorkie, havanese, and an American cocker. All are very active and fill my life with laughter.

Other Information:
Before coming to CPCC, I worked for sixteen years in the K-12 setting as a sign language interpreter. I am a member of my profession's national organization, Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, RID. I serve on the boards of our state and local chapers, NCRID and 5 Points-RID. We host workshops to promote continued learning among my colleagues and maintain licensure.
