Educational Background:
Dr. Ijams-Schwabe has a B.A., M.A. and Ph.D in Communication Studies.She has taught at both universities and community colleges since 1990. She has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses such as: Introduction to Communication, Public speaking, Interpersonal communication, Gender differences and Communication, Organizational communication, Psychology of Communication, and Communication theory.


She has presented numerous papers for the National Communication Association and has published in the academic literature (see Ijams, my maiden name for convention and publication information). Research publications explore the impact of dream-disclosure upon self-awareness and relational intimacy. Convention presentations include topics from relational intimacy to Spiritual based Communication.
