Furthering the success of all students and faculty by:

Providing vision and guidance around the outcomes, assessments, and learning opportunities cycle to provide for greatest student success

Facilitating instructional activities that promote active learning and student engagement leading to accomplishment of Student Learning Outcomes

Leading the college-wide process of documenting and showcasing assessments of Student Learning Outcomes and using assessment results to improve student learning.

Assisting all Division Directors, Program Chairs, and faculty in the process of development and deployment of authentic and reliable learning activities and assessments that reflect established Learning Outcomes

Providing leadership in the implementation of "best practices" around creating learning and assessment in the Learning College classroom

Serving on and supporting key College Initiative committees

Assisting in the collection, analysis, and reporting of data related to Student Learning Outcome assessment as required by accrediting bodies.

M.Ed., University of Vermont, Burlington, VT

BS in Early Childhood, Special, and Elementary Education, College of Saint Joseph, Rutland, VT

Educational Experience:
20+ years in teaching and administration at the post-secondary level--have worked with students at the Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral levels.

Extensive experience in applying theories of how learning works, creating engaging opportunities for learning, and using assessment results and data to make sound instructional decisions

Working with portfolios and other forms of authentic assessment for 20+ years

Post-secondary roles have included Professor/Instructor, Supervisor, Enrollment and Academic Advisor, Program Coordinator,Director

10 years a classroom teacher with young children

Creating and maintaining authentic learning communities that support and prepare students through the use of "best practices" in instruction and assessment

All things regarding young children, especially interested in developmentally appropriate curriculum and programs that serve young chidlren and their families.

Love the theatre, especially musical.
