Responsibilities:
I coordinate Interpreting Services for the deaf and hard of hearing students. The College employs 6 full time interpreters and we use about 8-12 part time interpreters. We provide interpreting services at all six campuses and for day/night/weekend/off campus classes.

Educational Background:
Attended CPCC in the Interpreter Education Program. Graduated from the Basic Interpreter Training Program at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf in Rochester, NY.

Educational Experience:
I have been an educationl interpreter for 25+ years. I also do community-based interpreting and video-remote interpreting.

Interests:
I also doing yard work, cooking and gathering with family and friends. I also enjoy camping and hiking in the Georiga mountians.

Other Information:
I am a member of 5 POINTS Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), the North Carolina RID and the Nationl RID organization. I received the Interpreter of the Year Award from the North Carolina RID in 2000.
